How to choose your crossing route
Figure out what is important to see on you crossing. Answer these questions:
1) Pick what American History sites you'd like to see.
2) Pick any Natural History sites you'd like to see.
3) Are there any National Parks you'd like to visit?
4) Are there any places you've been that you been that you want to revisit?
5) Do you want to travel on some trails, lots of wilderness or all roads?
6) Do you want to take advantage of some flattish roads next to rivers?
7) Do you want to travel through some specific cities?
9) Do you want to pass through your hometown or that of a friend?
Mark all of these places on a map and connect the dots. Adjust as needed.

5) Do you want more civilization at the beginning of your journey? Start at the Atlantic.
6) Do you want to cross into NYC while the sun rises in front of you? Start at the Pacific.
